Recognition for commitment to sustainable development and youth leadership
Our work has been recognized for its contribution to sustainable development, environmental education and strengthening youth leadership in communities. In the 2nd Good Practices Competition: Partnerships for Sustainable Development in the Cusco Region 2025, Centro Yanapanakusun won second place, highlighting its experience in virtual environmental education and empowering young people as agents of change.
This recognition, awarded by the Regional Government of Cusco in coordination with various institutions, reflects the impact of our actions in promoting active, informed citizens committed to their surroundings. It also reaffirms our commitment to continue advancing initiatives that bring together education, youth participation and sustainability, creating learning and transformation opportunities in the territories where we work.
Medal of the City of Cusco: recognition of a record of social impact
Centro Yanapanakusun received the 2024 Medal of the City of Cusco, the highest distinction awarded by the Provincial Municipality of Cusco, in recognition of its work in service of Peru's Historic Capital. This recognition was formalized through Municipal Agreement No. 043-2024-MPC, highlighting the organization's contribution to social, educational and community development.
The distinction highlights the organization's sustained work for girls, boys, adolescents and young people, especially those in vulnerable situations, by advancing training processes, rights protection and capacity building. It also recognizes its contribution to building active, participatory citizens committed to their surroundings, as well as its role in creating opportunities that promote inclusion and equity.
This important recognition reaffirms Centro Yanapanakusun's commitment to continue working for the well-being of communities, strengthening youth leadership, education and sustainable development in coordination with local and regional stakeholders.
