We work with NGOs, foundations and international associations with which we have formed networks around a shared vision of the rights of girls, boys and adolescents, as well as the mission of striving for a more equitable and inclusive society. In that society, they can question and deconstruct culturally learned patterns that prevent their development under equal conditions and the fulfillment of their life plans.
The labor exploitation of rural Andean adolescents is a hidden and current practice in Peruvian society. It is legitimized as a mechanism of socialization and social mobility. For this reason, we work in collaboration with grassroots social organizations, women's organizations and community authorities, because their commitment makes it possible to defend rights and promote the participation of rural, Quechua-speaking and low-income Andean adolescent girls affected by multiple forms of discrimination.
Our work would not be complete without the commitment and collaboration of educational institutions and the UGEL in the areas where we work. Management, teaching and administrative staff work in partnership with Yanapanakusun to fulfill the competencies established by MINEDU and to participate in strategies such as Environmental Education, Somos Pares and Si la haces.
In the areas where we work, we partner with public bodies such as DEMUNA, CEM, health centers, UGEL, the National Police and the criminal and family prosecutors' offices. At the same time, we advocate for access to quality health and education services through local coordination groups, regional and provincial networks to fight human trafficking, and regional and provincial coordination bodies for preventing, sanctioning and eradicating violence against women and family members.
