The Communities Program works directly with families, local leaders and organizations to strengthen the social fabric and promote sustainable community development. Through participatory actions, it advances education, the prevention of social problems and the strengthening of local capacities.

It also promotes the exchange of knowledge, civic participation and coordination with public and private actors. The program seeks to ensure that communities lead their own development, generating change from their own cultural and social dynamics.
